The Wilkes University Music Program invites applicants for the position of director of the Wilkes University Marching Colonels Marching Band. This part time position will begin June 1, 2018. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for: planning, teaching, and directing the marching band drill and music arrangements for the pre-game and field show to be performed at all home football games; selecting, planning and directing all other on and off-campus performances, including exhibition performances, pep rallies and parades; and directing two to three rehearsals per week. Additional adjunct teaching opportunities may be available, including directing the Pep Band in the spring semester and teaching other music courses as appropriate. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. 

Candidates should have experience in writing marching band drill and/or music arrangements, and experience teaching marching band at the high school, university, or drum corps level for a minimum of three years.
