Wilkes University invites applicants for a tenure track Assistant Professor of Management in the Department of Finance, Accounting and Management in the Jay S. Sidhu School of Business and Leadership starting in the Fall of 2018. The Sidhu School's mission is to transform students through an empowering education in a mentoring environment that develops personal, professional and leadership skills through scholarship, experiential learning and community engagement. The Sidhu School emphasizes the growth of students as capable and authentic leaders through the development of their ability to make decisions based on sound values and informed by their cognitive and emotional intelligence.

The successful candidate for this position will be able to teach traditional undergraduate, adult and graduate courses in Management in both a face-to-face and online delivery methods. Core courses include Organizational Behavior, Human Resource Management, and Social Responsibility of Business. In addition, the candidate should be able to teach foundation level quantitative courses in the undergraduate and graduate level courses. The candidate should demonstrate a strong understanding of both millennial and adult learning styles and motivation; skills in the assessment, advising and mentoring of learners and, the ability to deal effectively with individual differences in ability, personality and interests.

Faculty members carry a four-course load per semester, with research and service expectations.

A Doctorate Degree in Management or a related field of business is required. ABD will be considered if nearly completed.   The ideal candidate will have prior experience teaching at the college level, evidence of teaching effectiveness and a demonstrated commitment to scholarly activity. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The University's Sidhu School of Business is accredited by ACBSP and is a candidate for AACSB accreditation.
