Wilkes University's Nesbitt School of Pharmacy, Department of Pharmacy Practice invites applicants for a full time, tenure track, calendar year faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice. The practice area is unspecified but will be in one of the required areas (community, ambulatory or acute care). The School of Pharmacy has a dynamic, comprehensive and innovative approach to pharmacy education. Our mission is "To educate and develop highly qualified professionals and notably contribute to the ever-changing science and practice of pharmacy."

The successful candidate will engage in didactic and experiential teaching, service to patients, the campus and the community, and meaningful scholarship. On-campus responsibilities will include didactic teaching in pharmacy practice courses, advising students, serving on school committees, and contributing to the scholarly pursuits of the school. Didactic teaching will include both small and large classes as well as professional labs. In addition, the candidate will develop a clinical practice where he/she will be responsible for providing high-quality experiential training to pharmacy students. 

Candidates should embrace the Department's stated values of teamwork, integrity and dedication. Successful candidates should have a Doctor of Pharmacy degree and have ideally completed a PGY-2 pharmacy residency or possess equivalent clinical experience in the area of practice. At Wilkes, excellence in teaching is the primary consideration for tenure and promotion. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
