Wilkes University invites applicants for a Counselor in the Student Financial Services Office. Under the general direction of the Associate Director of Student Financial Services, the Counselor provides a variety of coordinating and advising services regarding federal, state and institutional student financial aid programs, regulations, eligibility requirements and application procedures.; works closely with students and families on financial aid opportunities; performs functions related to the technical and functional financial aid processes; review FAFSA's; conducts student needs analysis; packages student financial aid; monitors and processes federal verification; provides student and parent counseling in person, by phone and via email.

A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or a related field is required. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three (3) years of experience in financial aid, student counseling, or a related area.  Experience in higher education is preferred. Knowledge of financial aid application procedures and forms is required. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
