Wilkes University invites applicants for a 12-month Tenure Track Assistant/Associate Professor in the School of Education, master level programming. Wilkes University's graduate education was a pioneer in the online learning environment and has successfully helped over 10,000 educators reach their professional goals. We continue to evolve and innovate. We currently offer 12 master's degrees and 11 certificate/letter of endorsement programs to help 2,500 professionals advance to their next level of development. We are on a mission in service to meet individual and district professional needs in order to best serve all children in schools. We have grown to serve locally and globally.

This is a new position and will include all the normal functions of a program coordinator (assessment, curriculum, and faculty) along with developing M.S. degree program recruitment strategy and execution, new program development, program quality improvement, and policy development in collaboration with the department chair. This will be a tenure-track faculty position (12-month) with a 2-2-1 teaching load.

The successful candidate will have earned a doctorate in education with preference given to areas of literacy, special education or administrative leadership. Diversity of educational teaching and learning experiences desired. A minimum of successful three years' experience in Pk-12 schools is required along with certification in literacy, special education and/or administrative leadership. Additional experience with organizational change, shared leadership, data-informed decision-making, and continuous improvement a plus.

The ideal candidate will have an articulated scholarly research agenda with a high potential to progress on a tenure track, experience and expertise in Pk-12 education. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
