Wilkes University invites applicants for a full time engineer and Director of the University's Television Center in the Department of Communication Studies beginning August 28, 2017.  The high-profile Communication Studies program offers concentrations in strategic communication, media production, multimedia journalism and rhetorical studies to approximately 60 majors, and will be moving into a new facility in the fall of 2017 with a state of the art HD television studio.

The successful candidate is responsible for managing the daily operations of the Center, programming the Educational Access channel, and maintaining, purchasing and installing equipment.  The position also assists faculty and students with instruction in video production classes, student and faculty television shows, and student equipment checkout.  An associate's degree in electronics technology or related field is required.  The ideal candidate will have at least five years of professional experience as a broadcast engineer and/or assistant chief engineer with background in television production, audio/visual techniques, satellite technology and computer-based television applications.  FCC licensure is a plus.  Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
