Wilkes University invites applicants for a non-tenure track Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice  with a specialization in Ambulatory Care. The School of Pharmacy, housed within the Nesbitt College of Pharmacy and Nursing, has a dynamic, comprehensive and innovative approach to pharmacy education. Our mission is "To educate and develop highly qualified professionals and notably contribute to the ever-changing science and practice of pharmacy."

This faculty member will be responsible for developing a clinic-based practice at the Wright Center for Graduate Medical Education (WCGME), located in Scranton, PA. For more than 35 years, the WCGME has provided medical training for primary care physicians in Northeast Pennsylvania while providing patient care in a team-based, medical home model. The faculty member's primary teaching responsibility will be in experiential education although small and large group teaching in the Pharmacy Program will also be required. The faculty member is expected to have a modest level of scholarly productivity. A commitment to mentoring students and residents, while maintaining a level of service to the department, college and university is also required. Candidates should embrace the Department's stated values of teamwork, integrity and dedication. Successful candidates should have a Doctor of Pharmacy degree and at minimum, have completed a PGY-1 residency and be eligible for licensure in Pennsylvania. Experience in an ambulatory setting (through residency or practice) is required. Excellence in teaching is the primary criterion for promotion. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
