Wilkes University invites applicants for a 12-month Tenure Track Assistant/Associate faculty member/Teacher Education Program Coordinator in the School of Education Undergraduate Program. Wilkes University's Undergraduate Teacher Education Program prepares candidates to be competent, caring, and ethical educators. The Undergraduate Program is offered in a primarily face-to-face format with increasing opportunities for blended and online opportunities. The program includes certifications in PreK-4, 5-Middle Level Programs, 9-Secondary Education Programs, and Special Education.

The successful candidate is responsible for instruction of undergraduate level coursework, advising students, and supporting the work, efforts, duties and responsibilities of the Chairperson of the Undergraduate Education Department.  In addition to the duties mentioned, the candidate will be the Coordinator of the Teacher Education Program. The Coordinator has oversight of entrance exams and continued progress of all students (165+) in the Teacher Education Program.  The Coordinator is responsible for maintaining accurate data that is the basis of reporting for both internal and external (USDE, PDE, & NAEYC) bodies.   The Coordinator will also be involved in curriculum development and revision across all undergraduate education programs.

An earned doctorate in education or related field is required. The ideal candidates will also possess teaching certification and at least three years successful experience in Pk-12 education. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
